10th Annual Festival at the Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara, CA

Mr. Stephen Yee has won Purchase Award for the Permanent Collection of the Triton Museum of Art
for his work, "Lotus Pond". He has also won Merit Awards in Water Media on both of his works,
"Chrysanthemum and Cricket" and "Peony".
AVA is an umbrella organization which serves the art clubs in Northern California and holds an annual
juried fine art show at the Triton Museum of Art, where all the member clubs could exhibit their artists' works.
This event is called the Visual Artists Associations Summit at the Triton (or VAAST for short).

Biography
Mr. Stephen B.W. Yee, also known as Chih-Fu, was born in Hu-Nan, China in 1942.
Being influenced by his scholarly and artistic family, he has loved Chinese Painting
and Calligraphy since his early childhood. After studying with various reputed masters,
he is skillful in the portrayal of landscapes, figures, flowers, and birds.
As a graduate in Literature and Arts from National Taiwan University, he passed an
examination for diplomatic service and was appointed as a consul for many years.
Stephen is currently a Master Artist employed by Silk Dynasty Inc., where he developed
an internationally renowned, award winning line of Silk wallcoverings. He devotes his
spare time to the study of classical Chinese Art and is a serious advocate of the past
masters of the Tang through Ching Dynasties.
Through the blending of the traditional art form with western techniques, Stephen brings
a new and creative perspective to Chinese Arts. His outstanding works have exhibited in
China, Taiwan, Japan, Hawaii and California, and received numerous awards and recognition.
